Ben Franklin once said that nothing is certain except death and taxes. Today, I would add IT incidents to the list.<\/span><\/p>\n

Here at Geko we\u2019ve had to go through our share of operations, IT and security incidents. It\u2019s something that is just bound to happen for a number of reasons (which we\u2019ll get into later), and we\u2019ve come to adopt a lot of habits and practices that makes these far easier to quickly <\/span>detect<\/b>, <\/span>pinpoint<\/b>, <\/span>handle<\/b> and <\/span>resolve<\/b> incidents of all kinds. It becomes a lot more manageable once you assume these will happen, and <\/span>prepare<\/b> for it. Can\u2019t ever be too cautious when you\u2019re talking about critical infrastructure for your entire team to work on, or your clients to access, it\u2019s a \u201ccan\u2019t afford to fail\u201d scenario and you need to be ready for it.<\/span><\/p>\n

There\u2019s some countermeasures and checks you absolutely need to build into your infrastructure and ecosystem that makes this easier to handle:<\/span><\/p>\n
